PURPOSE: A method for estimating the middle angle of an encoder is provided to improve a stepped sine property by generating a sine wave current applied to a motor by estimating and correcting the middle angle with regard to a middle position between edge signals. CONSTITUTION: A motor(10) comprises a stator and a rotor. The motor varies the speed and torque by a three phase current applied from a main controller(100). The rotation shaft of the motor is connected to the rotation shaft of an electric power steering wheel. An encoder(50) is arranged around the rotor of the motor and outputs a pulse signal according to the rotation position of the rotor. The main controller generates a sine wave current according to an edge signal inputted from the encoder. |
