PURPOSE: An image display device, an image display viewing system and an image display method are provided to prevent a plurality of images from being mixed by turning on light sources by different timing in an open period of a shutter. CONSTITUTION: In an image display device, an image display viewing system and an image display method, a display panel periodically displays different images. A shutter controller(122) generates a timing signal driving a right-eye shutter and a left-eye shutter by being synchronized with a periodical display. A backlight(136) includes a light guide plate corresponding to the display area of the display panel and a light source which is installed at two sides of the light guide plate. The backlight project light to the display panel from the backside of the display panel. A backlight controller(128) turns on/off the light source which is installed in two opposite sides during the open period of the shutter. |
