PURPOSE: A PIMD(Passive InterModulation Distortion) generation position estimating apparatus and a method thereof are provided to obtain the originating place of PIMD created in the passive device. CONSTITUTION: A combiner(200) combines the reference signal which creates from a signal generator. A duplexer(300) applies the reference signal combined in the combiner to a passive device. By using the received signal received through the duplexer from the passive device and the reference signal interval created in the reference signal creation part, a controller(400) presumes the size and delay of PIMD created in the passive device. The controller presumes the originating position of PIMD within the passive device based on the size and delay of the passive mixed-modulation distortion presumed.
