A communications connector system reduces crosstalk between a differential line in one jack and another differential line in an adjacent jack. Capacitors (213, 215, 217, Fig 9) may be connected between the terminals of adjacent jacks. The crosstalk compensation circuits may be multi-stage. Compensating crosstalk C2 introduced at the second stage may have the opposite polarity from compensating crosstalk C11, C12 introduced at the first stage, and the same polarity as the crosstalk C0, L0 which it is designed to reduce. Crosstalk between three jacks may also be compensated for.
