<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine cover having soundproofness higher than a conventional one with respect to a direct injection V-type engine. <P>SOLUTION: The engine cover 10 is equipped with a urethane sound absorbing part 22 formed of urethane foam resin 22J and covering a position facing a pair of cylinder heads 11 in the lower surface of a cover body 21, and a PET sound absorbing part 23 formed of PET nonwoven fabric 23S and covering a position facing an intake manifold 12 in the lower surface of the cover body 21. In this configuration, the cover is provided with the urethane sound absorbing part 22 and PET sound absorbing part 23 having excellent sound absorbing property of frequency of each noise source in response to the cylinder head 11 and intake manifold 12 which are noise sources having different frequencies. Thus, the noise from each noise source can be effectively damped to improve soundproofness more than a conventional engine cover. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
