PURPOSE: An in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to minimize the not operated liquid crystal layer area by minimize the width of a second pixel electrode and a second common electrode. CONSTITUTION: A gate line, a common line, and a data line is arranged on a substrate(100). A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) is formed in the area in which the gate line and the data line are crossed. Pixel electrodes(160a,160b) are electrically connected to the TFT. Common electrodes(170a,170b) are electrically connected to the common line. The common electrodes are arranged in parallel with the pixel electrodes. The pixel electrodes comprise the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode. |
