PURPOSE: A plant mat for afforestation is provided to promote expansion of a vegetation base material when the mat absorbs moisture with work of a surfactant, and to maintain a shape of the plant mat by a mulching material on an upper surface. CONSTITUTION: A plant mat for afforestation comprises a vegetation base material included inside the mat and an outer cover(20) consisting of natural fiber. The outer cover surrounds the bottom surface and a side surface of the vegetation base material. A mulching material(30) is formed on the top surface of the vegetation base material. The outer cover is formed on a location which is lower than a side height of the vegetation base material. The vegetation base material is efficiently expanded when moisture is absorbed. |
