The element (1) has two sets of composite panels (7) forming a lower face and an upper face, respectively. A metallic framework (2) is arranged between the two sets of panels, and an insulating element is located in an interjoist formed by the framework, where the insulating element is made of glass wool. Each panel is constituted of two outer metal claddings that are separated from one another, and an insulated web that is made of mineral fibers or fibrous-silicate and placed between the metal claddings. An independent claim is also included for a building extension comprising two steel structures.
