METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing austenitic stainless steel is provided to set a continuous casting condition about a casting temperature and secondary cooling to thereby obtain slab having no pore. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing austenitic stainless steel comprises the next steps. Molten steel is agitated using an electromagnetic agitating device. The molten steel is cooled to a secondary cooling zone. The electromechanical power of the electromagnetic agitating device and specific flow rate of the secondary cooling zone are controlled to reduce the number of blow pores formed at the center of a slab. The total ratio quantity of the secondary cooling zone is in the range of 0.65L / kg ~ 0.80L / kg. The specific flow rate of the secondary cooling zone of the bottom of the electromagnetic agitating device is in the range of 0.10L / kg ~ 0.20L / kg.
