PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a wholly aromatic polyamide filament is provided to ensure even monofila cross-section and to high strength. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a wholly aromatic polyamide filament comprises: a step of dissolving a polymer prepared using p-phenylene diamine and terephthaloylchloride in 99.0-101.1% of sulfuric acid at 70-90°C to prepare a spinning dope; and a step of passing the spinning dope through an air gap with a length of 3-15mm at 10-40°C by a spinneret(1).
