<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing faulty fixing from occurring because the surface temperature of a pressure roller is low or high. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with a fixing device which fixes a toner image on recording material by a heating roller having an elastic layer on its surface and a pressure roller coming into press-contact with the heating roller and which performs preliminary rotation that the heating roller and the pressure roller are rotated in warming-up, and is equipped with: a display means for performing display showing that image formation is possible; a timer means for measuring time from finishing the preliminary rotation; and a control means for controlling the display means to display that image formation is possible when the time measured by the timer means attains predetermined time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
