A pneumatic tire having a pair of beads (320), a tread (330), a pair of sidewalls (316), a carcass (340) including one or more carcass plies comprising a carcass cord, and a belt package (350) including one or more belt plies comprising a belt cord is disclosed. At least one of the carcass cords and/or at least one of the belt cords follows a cord path at least essentially defined by the equation Á [cos ±] n = K, wherein Á is the radius from the rotational axis of the tire (300) to a point on the respective carcass ply or belt ply, ± is the cord angle of the at least one respective ply at said point, n is a positive real number between 0.1 and 1, and K is a constant. |
