PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for driving a liquid crystal display device are provided to simplify a structure of a supply line by improving a memory driving voltage supply structure of a liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display panel(2) includes a plurality of pixel regions and displays images. A plurality of gate ICs(3) drives gate lines of the liquid crystal display panel. A plurality of data ICs(4) drives data lines of the liquid crystal display panel. At least one memory unit(12) stores the driving information and image data modulation information of the liquid crystal display panel. A timing controller(10) controls the drive timing of each of the gate and data ICs.
