PURPOSE: A crash box for a vehicle is provided to improve impact absorbing properties by coupling a bolt to a weld nut welded in an inner box through the longitudinal slot of an outer box. CONSTITUTION: A crash box(1) for a vehicle comprises front and rear plates(11,13) and a box unit(10). The box unit is installed between the front and rear plates and absorbs impact force. The box unit comprises an inner box and an outer box(30). The inner and outer boxes are formed in a rectangular box shape by overlapping and welding two bent panels. The front end of the inner box is fixed to the front plate. Multiple weld nuts(N) are installed in the rear inner sides of the inner box. Longitudinal slots(S) corresponding to the weld nuts are formed on both surfaces of the outer box. Bolts(B) are coupled to the weld nuts through the longitudinal slots of the outer box.
