<p>The method involves supplying carrier gas e.g. oxygen and air, to exhaust gas in a section (26) of an exhaust gas tract for after-treatment of the exhaust gas, where the carrier gas reacts with a set of exhaust gas components. A portion of another set of exhaust gas components resulting by the reaction, and volume flow of the exhaust gas after after-treatment, are determined. The portions of two sets of components at upstream of the section of the tract are determined. Volume flow at a starting point (38) of the tract is determined from the components and the volume flow after after-treatment. The two sets of exhaust gas components are methane and carbon dioxide and/or carbon monoxide, respectively. An independent claim is also included for an exhaust gas conductive device for conducting exhaust gas of a device.</p> |
