PURPOSE: A method of controlling a thyristor switch is provided to prevent the loss of an output waveform by setting a voltage before or after switching as a start voltage of a DC-AC converter. CONSTITUTION: In a method of controlling a thyristor switch, a thyristor switch(220) transfers voltage from an AC input power source(210) to a load(230). A battery transmits a compensated AC voltage to the load when an input power source is abnormal. The DC power source(240) of the capacitor and a DC-AC inverter(250) is included as a basic element. A microprocessor(310) controls voltage and phase of the DC-AC inverter. The microprocessor controls the gate of the thyristor switch. The microprocessor controls the phase of the compensation AC voltage which is generated from the DC-AC inverter.
