<p>The invention provides a method of preparing a lithographic printing plate by processing with an aqueous solution having a buffer function in which the lithographic printing plate exhibits good stain resistance which does not degrade even when a lithographic printing plate precursor is preserved for a long period of time and is excellent in printing durability and chemical resistance, and is directed to a method for preparing a lithographic printing plate comprising: imagewise exposing a lithographic printing plate precursor comprising, in the following order, a support, an intermediate layer containing a copolymer containing a repeating unit derived from a monomer having a C log P value of 1.4 or less and containing a carbon-carbon unsaturated double bond through a covalent bond and an image-forming layer containing (A) a polymerization initiator, (B) a polymerizable compound and (C) a binder polymer; and removing an unexposed area of the image-forming layer by processing the exposed lithographic printing plate precursor with an aqueous solution having a buffer function.</p> |
