<p>A cartridge stores gas under pressure and a container stores a fragrance substance in the housing. A valve controls the release of the gas. An atomizer receives the gas and draws the fragrance substance from the container such that the fragrance substance is sprayed into the atmosphere. A controller opens the valve at predetermined intervals.</p>
