PURPOSE: A decomposition method of carbon dioxide is provided to perform long term repeating thermochemical cycle by preventing the sinter of the metal oxide even the thermochemical cycle, including decomposition method of the carbon dioxide, which massively decomposes CO2 by using the oxidation-reduction pair of the metal oxide in which the oxygen deficiency is big, and reduction reaction and polymerization reaction of metal oxide, is repeatedly performed. CONSTITUTION: The decomposition method of the carbon dioxide using the germanium oxide decomposes the carbon dioxide by using thermochemical cycle starting in the pyrolysis reaction of GeO2 and generates carbon monoxide. The decomposition method of the carbon dioxide includes the steps of: obtaining the thermal decomposition product by thermally decomposing GeO2; and producing carbon monoxide by reacting the thermal decomposition product and the carbon dioxide. The GeO2 becomes recirculated and reused. |
