METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING VOIP SERVICE IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A VoIP(Voice over Internetwork Protocol) service providing method and an apparatus thereof in the mobile communications systems are provided to serve VoIP service by efficiently varying PHS(Payload Header Suppression) manner. CONSTITUTION: A CS(Classification) / PHS rule generator(130) decides whether a new service flow is created or not by using the extracted header information. In case the new service flow is created, the CS / PHS rule generator creates the PHS rule by using the DSA(Dynamic Service Addition). In case the new service flow is not created, the CS / PHS rule generator creates the PHS rule by using the DSC(Dynamic Service Change). A WiMAX modem(150) transmits the CS rule created and the PHS rule to a WiMAX system.
