<p>PURPOSE: An array substrate for a liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve aperture ratio by forming a channel of a TFT along a vertical direction of a substrate. CONSTITUTION: A gate line(122) is formed on a substrate(110) along the first direction. A data line(132) is formed along the second direction crossing the first direction. The gate line and the data line define pixel areas. A source electrode(136) is extended to the first direction from the data line patterns corresponding to each pixel area. A first capacitor electrode(146) is formed adjacent to the source electrode. A supplementary common electrode is connected to the first capacitor electrode.</p> |
