PURPOSE: A steering angle sensing apparatus for a vehicle is provided to measure accurate absolute steering angle by directly measuring a steering column located in a position where the absolute steering angle is zero. CONSTITUTION: A steering angle sensing apparatus for a vehicle comprises a steering column(3) which is formed with a spiral groove on the exterior surface, a sensing board(5) which is made of a flexible material and fixed around the steering column as being inserted in the spiral groove, a sensor(7) which senses the sensing board when the steering column is in a position where the absolute steering angle is zero, and a controller(9) which sets a zero point of absolute steering angle in response to a signal from the sensor.
