PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive refractory to be soaked in molten steel with conductive property excellent in erosion resistance against the molten steel and thermal shock resistance necessary for an electrode for measuring oxygen concentration of the molten steel, a protective tube of thermocouple for measuring temperature of the molten steel, etc., in melting, refining and casting of iron and steel. SOLUTION: The conductive refractory to be soaked in molten steel is obtained by compression molding and sintering the metal powder containing tungsten power or tungsten of >=10 wt.% and remainder of titanium, zirconium, hafnium, vanadium, niobium, tantalum, chromium, molybdenum, rhenium, rhodium, iridium and one or two kinds of platinum making >=40 mass.% to <=90 mass.% to total amount, and mixed with one or both of zirconium powder and alumna powder. |
