<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a non-oriented magnetic steel sheet provided with both of excellent mechanical characteristic and excellent magnetic characteristic needed as a rotor for motor rotated at high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises the following processes: a steel ingot or a steel slab composed, by mass%, of ≤0.06% C, ≤3.5% Si, 0.05-3.0% Mn, ≤2.5% Al, ≤0.30% P, ≤0.04% S, ≤0.02% N, >0.02% Nb and containing at least one element selected from a group composed of Nb, Ti, Zr and V in the range of formula (1) and the balance substantially Fe with impurities, is heated to 1,100-1,300°C and thereafter, subjected to rough hot-rolling of ≥80% accumulated rolling-reduction ratio for obtaining a rough-bar and the rough-bar is subjected to a finish hot-rolling, wherein temperature of the rough-bar prior to the finish hot-rolling process is ≥950°C. 0<Nb/93+Zr/91+Ti/48+V/51-(C/12+N/14)<5×10<SP>-3</SP>: formula(1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
