PURPOSE: A stern tube sealing apparatus is provided to block inflow of seawater through a stern tube and simplify installation. CONSTITUTION: A stern tube sealing apparatus comprises a spring case(160), a spring member(190), a sealing body(240), a first sealing member(210), a second sealing member(220). The spring case is fixed to a stern tube of a ship. The spring case has a seating surface in a ring shape. The spring member is combined with the seating surface. The spring member provides elastic force in the longitudinal direction of a shaft. The sealing body is located in proximity to the spring member. The sealing body is fixed to the shaft and rotated with the shaft. The first sealing member is inserted into the center of the spring member. The second sealing member is inserted into the center of the sealing body. The second sealing member contacts with the first sealing member. The first sealing member and the second sealing member have a ring shape. The first sealing member elastically presses the second sealing member with the elastic force of the spring member. |
