PURPOSE: A fault judgment method of an IP(Internetwork Protocol) equipment is provided to decide a corresponding IP equipment as the fault condition in case the polling test result the natural state which corresponding to threshold value consecutively. CONSTITUTION: It is determined that the number of polling test for the fault judgment and polling test periods(P1-P3) corresponding to the fault states of IP equipment. According to the result of performance is no answer in the polling test for IP equipment in IP network, the current state is determined as the neutral state(203-206). The polling test again is executed after queuing to the next polling test period(P2). If the polling test result is no answer as the number as the polling test successively, the corresponding IP equipment is determined as the fault condition(210).
