PURPOSE: A position tracking device and a position tracking method thereof are provided to perform the position tracking in an indoor or an outdoor environment by using sensors built in a mobile phone. CONSTITUTION: A position tracking device(100) includes a GPS signal receiving module(10), a sensor module(20) and a control module(30). The GPS signal receiving module receives a GPS signal and detects position information and movement direction information. A sensor module is made of an acceleration sensor and an earth magnetic field sensor. A control module calculates a current position and direction by using the position information, the movement direction information and signals sensed by the sensors.
