PURPOSE: An automatic external defibrillator and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to easily take emergency measures against an object according to the diagnosed result. CONSTITUTION: An automatic external defibrillator comprises: a measuring sensor(260) which is attached to an object, senses the object, and creates measurement information; a communication process(210) receiving the measurement information generated from the measuring sensor; a diagnosis processor(220) which diagnoses an object by analyzing the received measurement information; and a controller(230) which takes emergency measures against an object according to the diagnosed result.
