FIELD: machine building. ^ SUBSTANCE: procedure for determination of contact place of pipeline with protective jacket in system of main crossing over road consists in influencing walls of pipeline and protective jacket with probing field, in reception of probing field passed along walls of pipeline and protective jacket and in determination of contact place of pipeline and protective jacket on base of parameters of received field. As probing field there are used elastic excitations. Also, input and reception of elastic excitations into walls of the pipeline and protective jacket and from walls of the pipeline and protective jacket are performed from one side of a road. ^ EFFECT: determination of contact place of main and protective jacket by usage of flexible sonic waves. ^ 7 cl, 1 dwg
