FIELD: transport. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport, particularly, to braking systems of railway vehicles. The method consists in operating braking systems of railway vehicles depending on their availability, herewith, a railway vehicle contains two braking systems being operated separately, specifically - one electrical and/or one mechanical braking system. According to the suggested method, railway vehicle mass to be braked and currently available braking forces (potential forces) for each braking system are determined. Then, currently required braking force (preset force) is determined, and required braking force with regard to mass to be braked and available braking forces is allocated to braking systems using control function. The distribution is executed so that control function operates braking systems separately or in combination. ^ EFFECT: optimum allocation of necessary braking force to available braking systems. ^ 10 cl |
