<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically measuring pollution level on the surface of a steel sheet and a method thereof are provided to measure the exact pollution level of the surface of a cold rolled steel sheet, since pollution spreads on the entire area of a measurement paper. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for automatically measuring pollution level on the surface of a steel sheet comprises a supply unit(100), a contaminate collecting unit(200), a contaminate measuring unit(300), a brightness calculation unit(400), and a controller(500). The supply unit comprises a measurement paper for collecting the contaminant on the surface of a cold rolled steel(S). The contaminate collecting unit absorbs and fixes measurement papers and presses the measurement paper to the surface of the cold rolled steel. The contaminate collecting unit rotates the measurement papers. The contaminate measuring unit obtains the pollution condition of ht cold rolled steel spreading to the measurement paper as an image. The brightness calculation unit calculates the brightness from the image obtained by the contaminate measuring unit.</p> |
