PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing the line system of an internal combustion engine is provided to simplify the diagnosis method of the exhaust system of a crank casing. CONSTITUTION: A method for diagnosing the line system of an internal combustion engine is as follows. Current compensation values for operation parameters are formed in two or more consecutive detection stages(E1,E2,E3) when an internal combustion engine is idled and are compared with a reference value. The compensation values are used for detecting the error state of a line system.
