METHOD FOR FORMING CONNECTION IN LONGITUDINAL WELDED PIPES

A method for forming a connection in straight-line-seam pipes of welding materials includes performance of connections on welding and molding station at docking the edges of round billet and subsequent upsetting edges during their welding in electric welding mills. Increasing the welding temperature of edges, weld upsetting and the process of welding itself are carried out on the certain length of seam defined by the length of welding and forming area, where instead of one welding stand two or more welding stands are mounted. In the interval between successive welding stands heating the heat-affected zone is carried out within given temperature range of the welding process.
