The invention relates to means for prospecting gas deposits at sea by abnormalities of water temperature. The method for prospecting gas deposits in deep part of the sea includes reveal of abnormalities of temperature decrease in bulk and at surface of the sea, this is formed in process of lift of cold bottom waters at outbursts of gas from sea ground. To reveal small in volume outbursts of gas one uses rigid braid to which one mounts digital register of data of measurements, temperature indicators and indicators of sea depths, at the ends of the braid one fixes groups of buoys that in given time interval in turns float to sea surface and by means of satellite communication system transfer information on coordinates of the ends of braid, at that to surface of the sea one places from a ship floating buoys and braid that is mechanically and electrically connected to those, these are immersed to given depth lower that cold intermediate layer, with carrying out measurements of water temperature at drift of the braid by flow along row of strips of search area, after having carried out all the measurements by coordinates of buoys transferred to the ship one finds and lifts those to the ship, with entering parameters registered to computer, with calculation of map of water temperature, by abnormalities there one reveals places of gas leakage from sea bottom and with account of geological structure of search area one determines location of gas deposits. The invention increases sensitivity to reveal of processes of gas outburst from sea bottom. |
