PURPOSE: An UL control channel transmitting method and apparatus in a wireless communication system are provided to transmit information such as the size of an UL control channel for the configuration of the UL control channel to the minimum. CONSTITUTION: A BS(Base Station) transmits the resource assignment information of a ranging channel to an MS(Mobile Station)(S100). The BS transmits the resource assignment information of a bandwidth request channel and a feedback channel to the MS(S110). According to the resource assignment information of the ranging channel and the resource assignment information of the bandwidth request channel and the feedback channel, the MS assigns UL(UpLink) resources to the ranging channel, the feedback channel, and the bandwidth request channel(S120).
