PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and manufacturing method thereof is provided to improve the quality of a panel by maintaining a constant gap between a pixel electrode wire and a common electrode wire. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes as follows. A gate wire(103) and a data wire(123) define a pixel area arranged vertically and is formed on a thin film transistor array substrate. A thin film transistor is comprised of a source electrode and a drain electrode(123b) which is separated as much as a channel area. A common electrode wire includes an area having a narrow wire width.
