Portable terminal i.e. hand-held computer, for transmitting information or orders in industrial area, has gyroscope measuring orientation parameters of case, and accelerometer measuring acceleration parameters of case during movements

The terminal has a case (1) that is held by a single hand with a variable orientation (R') with respect to a terrestrial mark (R), where the case is displaced by the single hand with respect to the terrestrial mark. A gyroscope measures variable orientation parameters (phi, psi, theta) of the case. An accelerometer (9) measures acceleration parameters of the case during movements. A memory contains a sequence of information interpreted by a processor i.e. PXA270 type processor, as a command. The memory is a readable and writable memory e.g. 256 MB Flash memory and 128 MB RAM. The gyroscope is a ITG3000(RTM: Triple-axis micro-electro-mechanical systems gyroscope). The accelerometer is a ADXL202(RTM: Dual-axis accelerometer). An independent claim is also included for a method for implementing a terminal.
