The device (1) has a hook rotatively assembled on a case (2) to hang a fishing line. A guiding unit guides the line fixed on the hook on the case so that the line forms a loop. A maintain unit (4) maintains the line and moves between deployed position in which the maintain unit projects the case to maintain of the line guided by the guiding unit in tension manner and retracted position in which the maintain unit releases the line. An activating arm (6) actuates a gear mechanism and concomitantly to move the maintain unit from the deployed position toward the retracted position.
