PURPOSE: A successive voice call service providing method and apparatus between heterogeneous communication networks on the basis of IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) are provided to simultaneously perform handover processing between Wibro network and WCDMA network for a VCC terminal and network switching processing through VCC service processing. CONSTITUTION: An MSC(Mobile Switching Center) advances re-arrangement and handover with a corresponding target BS(Base Station)(S20). The MSC induces a session changing procedure(S30). A VCC(Voice Call Continuity) application server advances session switching and updating, and the session cancellation of a Wibro(Wireless broadband) communication network(S40). The MSC transmits a network switching and handover complete response signal to a Wibro control station(S50). The MSC requests home location registration according to handover and location registration updating to the home location management node of a WCDMA(Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) communication network(S60).
