PURPOSE: A grinding apparatus for a crankshaft of a ship is provided to conveniently measure the eccentricity, wear degrees, and grinding depth to a crankshaft. CONSTITUTION: A grinding apparatus for a crankshaft of a ship comprises a pair of chains(1,1'), a pair of couplers(2,2'), a pair of rotators(3,3'), a reduction motor(4), a pair of driving members(5,5'), a transfer unit(9), a bite(11), and a measuring tool(13). The chains are respectively wound around both sides of a crankshaft(C). The couplers connect the chains and fix the chains to the crankshaft. The rotators are installed on both sides of the crankshaft between the chains and divided into halves. The driving members rotate the rotators on the crankshaft by transmitting the torque of the reduction motor to the rotators. The transfer unit is transferred by a certain length on a transfer screw every time when the rotators are rotated one time with the transfer levers of the couplers and the transfer gears of the rotators. The bite grinds the crankshaft. The measuring tool is thread-coupled into a screw hole of the transfer unit and measures the crankshaft. |
