The method involves dynamically selecting an additional attribute (ATB). Mandatory or optional flight characteristics of a segment are represented by the ATB that is digitally coded in a data base of a flight management system (FMS) of an aircraft. The segment is defined by Aircraft Radio Incorporated (ARINC) 424standard and by the ATB that is modified by a man-machine interface. Eventual change of value of the ATB of another segment representing mandatory or optional flight characteristics of the latter segment is automatically determined. An independent claim is also included for a system for dynamic management of flight procedure of a flight plan of an aircraft, comprising a dynamic selection unit.
