PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receptacle module for preventing leakage of light with higher reliability with a simple structure, and a method of manufacturing the optical receptacle module. SOLUTION: The optical receptacle module is optically coupled with an inserted plug ferrule and includes: a first fiber stub having one end held by a sleeve: and a second fiber stub provided in the sleeve at a distance from the first fiber stub when the plug ferrule is not inserted.
