A castor has a body part 21 with hub 23 for swivel shaft 24, the body part being of flattened cup form with vertical wall 30 and annular wall 49 with interned lip 49A and a castor wheel 22 of similar flattened form having a bearing sleeve 43 which embraces an axle 33 with head 33H embedded in wall 30 and has an annular groove 48 which is engaged by lip 49A. In a modification Fig. 10 the sleeve 43 has a lip 349A engaging a groove in the axle 33. In another embodiment the axle has an uplet annular flange and the bearing sleeve a corresponding internal annular groove. In a further modification Fig. 13 the end thrust between sleeve and axle is taken by engagement of the end of the bearing sleeve 43 with the head 33H of the axle and the axle has an undercut bore 648 while the castor wheel has a tubular wall 649 with outturned flange 649A which engages the bore to hold the parts in assembled relation. |
