<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter for insertion into a living body, which is easily inserted into a living body, and has excellent responsiveness in chemical injection and body fluid sampling operations. <P>SOLUTION: The catheter 1 for insertion into a living body includes: a flexible catheter tube 2 provided with a closed distal end 21, an internal lumen 22, a distal end tapered part 20 whose diameter is reduced toward the distal end, and a side hole 23 provided on the proximal end side away from the distal end 21 by a predetermined length and on the distal end tapered part 20; and a cylindrical elastic sleeve 3 which covers the side hole formation part of the distal end tapered part 20 and is fixed to the catheter tube 2 by a distal end side fixing part 33 and a proximal end side fixing part 34. The cylindrical elastic sleeve 3 includes a slit 31 which crosses the almost center of the side hole 23 in the axial direction of the catheter tube 2 and extends by a predetermined length exceeding both ends of the side hole 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
