PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner and a two-component developer, in which spacer particles are hardly separated and the effect of the spacer is sufficiently demonstrated, and which have excellent charging stability and transferability for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The toner comprises toner base particles containing a binder resin and a colorant, a resin coating layer coating the surface of the toner particle and comprising resin fine particles, and further includes spacer particles fixed in the resin coating layer. The spacer particles are fixed in a state of partially exposed from the toner surface. The number average particle size of the resin fine particles is smaller than the number average particle size of the spacer particles. The thickness of the resin coating layer is smaller than the number average particle size of the spacer particles.
