PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous bearing made of brass at a low cost. SOLUTION: In a mixing step (S1), a lubricant is added to brass chips, and mixing is performed with a mixer for powder. In a compression-molding step (S2), this mixture is subjected to compression molding by a press to produce a green body 2. The pressure is set to about 400 MPa. In a sintering step (S3), the green body 2 is sintered in an air atmosphere using a continuous opening furnace (mesh belt type muffle sintering furnace). The sintering temperature is set to the range of 880 to 940°C. In a cutting step (S4), the sintered compact 3 is subjected to drilling, outer circumferential cutting or the like.
