PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bottom periphery length adjusting mechanism used for accessories in which design of appearance is very much emphasized. SOLUTION: The length adjusting mechanism includes a slide adjuster 8, and the slide adjuster includes a strap 10 made of synthetic resin and a buckle 20. With an engagement claw of the buckle engaged with a saw-toothed engagement groove formed in the outer surface of the strap, the strap is allowed to freely approach the buckle, but not allowed to be retracted therefrom, and the buckle is fixed on the back side of the bottom, so that when the strap and the buckle approach each other, the bottom periphery is contracted, and when the strap and the buckle separate from each other, the bottom periphery is elongated.
