PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device capable of preventing inconvenience caused by an error in reading identification information by the terminal device in the value transfer by the terminal device. SOLUTION: A control part 80 of the terminal device 5 executes a process for transferring own balls when reading of a portable ID by a portable reader part 63 is completed in a prescribed period of time after an own ball transfer button 66a is pressed while own ball data (own ball data of a value larger than zero) is stored in association with a card ID in a memory part 87. Meanwhile, when reading of the portable ID by the portable reader part 63 is not completed though a portable terminal 9 is detected by the portable reader part 63 in the prescribe period of time after the own ball transfer button 66a is pressed, the control part 80 puts the terminal device 5 in an error down state.
