<p>An electric vehicle range extender control system includes a range extender (10), a high voltage battery (20), a battery controller (60), a vehicle control unit (50), an EV/PHEV switch, an inverter (30) and a driving motor (40).Through common bus, the range extender (10) is connected in parallel between the high voltage battery (20) and the inverter (30), and connected with a CAN bus (70).The high voltage battery (20) is connected with the battery controller (60). The inverter (30) is connected with the driving motor (40).The vehicle control unit (50) is connected with the EV/PHEV switch, which detects drive mode requests, on its input end, and is connected with the CAN bus (70) on its output end. According to the state of charge of the high voltage battery (20), the vehicle control unit (50) calculates the basic requirement of electric power generation and controls a generator (12) to supply power for the high voltage battery (20) in terms of different modes. This control system is simple in structure, can extend the maximum driving range of the vehicle, and can effectively control emission, fuel consumption and NVH performance. A control method of said electric vehicle range extender control system is also provided.</p> |
