摘要 <p>Provided are a communication apparatus and communication control method whereby the information transmission rate can be controlled so as to constantly prevent the bandwidth from being exceeded. There are included a receiving means that receives an input signal to output received data; a transmitting means that receives a transport frame, transmits a transport signal at a first transmission rate established based on transmission control information, and that outputs a transmission timing signal indicating a timing of completion of the transmission of the transport signal; an information extracting means that extracts the transmission control information from the received data and that designates and notifies, to the transmitting means, a second transmission rate to be used when the next transport frame is transmitted; and a service quality control means that, when it is detected that the second transmission rate is smaller than the first transmission rate, changes an upper limit transmission rate to a transmission rate equal to or smaller than the second transmission rate, that, when it is detected that the second transmission rate is greater than the first transmission rate, changes the upper limit transmission rate to a transmission rate equal to or smaller than the second transmission rate after the timing of completion, and that generates, based on the upper limit transmission rate, the transport frame from transport data.</p>
